Why I Educate

I’m passionate about educating within the hairdressing industry because I’ve seen firsthand the growing gap between qualification and confidence. Far too many young people are leaving the industry shortly after completing their NVQ, not because they lack talent, but because they lack the real-world support and mentorship needed to thrive. The NVQ provides a foundation, but it often falls short in preparing new stylists for the fast-paced demands of the salon floor, especially when it comes to modern trends, client expectations, and advanced techniques. I aim to bridge that gap—offering education that goes beyond the textbook, focusing on the practical, up-to-date skills and confidence-building needed to truly succeed in today’s hairdressing industry.

Workshops & Education I offer

All things lived -hands-on workshop to master all techniques for creating those effortlessly lived-in hair looks.

Multi tonal Brunettes-Move beyond flat colour, create dimension and depth with confidence.

Radiant Red heads- Understand tone, maintenance, skin tone matching vibrant reds

Colour Transformations/corrections- step by step breakdowns of big changes- with smart planning & execution

Long Layered locks- covering multiple layering techniques, giving you the knowledge to create those wolf, shag cuts as well as learning texturising techniques to personalise them.

Blunt Bobs/Lobs- THE most requested the cut by clients currently I feel, covering multiple versions of bobs, giving you confidence to execute them with the precision that is needed

Blow Out Sessions- From bouncy blow outs to those effortless beach waves, learn what products to use and how to use styling tools to create multiple effects for those insta worthy shots.

I deliver hairdressing education in two dynamic formats to suit different learning styles. The first is a "Look and Learn" session, where I present two models and create a complete look on each while explaining my techniques, product choices, and styling tips step-by-step. This is perfect for observing and absorbing the creative process in real time. The second option is a hands-on workshop, where stylists or apprentices bring their own models and work on them directly. I move between each participant, offering guidance, demonstrations, and personalized feedback throughout the session. This interactive approach allows for a deeper, more practical learning experience.

Each education day can be fully tailored to suit the specific needs and goals of your salon. Whether you'd like to focus on certain techniques, combine multiple services, or target different skill levels within your team, I can create a bespoke package that works for you. Please feel free to email me to discuss how I can help you build a customised session that ensures you and your team get the most out of the day.
